Born in South Africa, Alicia moved to Melbourne to pursue her studies in Osteopathic Medicine.
After graduating from RMIT university with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) in 2016, Alicia has taken great pleasure in treating a wide range of injuries and concerns in the Mornington Peninsula community. She has always had a passion for osteopathy in health care after resonating with its crossovers of modalities and holistic perspective on functional health.
Alicia is exceptionally passionate about furthering her education in order to provide the most accurate and up to date treatment options for her patients. At present, this includes further studies in women’s health, that includes, treating obstetrical patients throughout their pregnancy, trauma and pediatric care.
As a busy mum balancing the demands of family life and personal growth, she also comprehends how overwhelming life can be and how easily stress can accumulate and impact our well-being. Her journey has led her to deepen her understanding of how unprocessed emotions and stress can be stored in the body as tension, often leading to various physical ailments, from headaches to chronic pain. Alicia specialises in helping individuals recognise and address the profound connection between emotions and the body.
